Levar Burton has said he has no interest in hosting Jeopardy!. After that messy host selection process messy who could blame him. But for some reason, Los Angeles Times reporter Stephen Battaglio took it upon himself to enter the conversation and insert his misguided belief that Burton would jump at the chance if offered the primary spot.

Newly selected "Jeopardy!" host Mike Richards is stepping down as host before he even began after backlash from allegations he was a sexual harasser and outrage that actor LeVar Burton was snubbed and not chosen for the job.

Burton finally took the stage Monday as guest host of the long-running quiz show, bringing the warmth and nostalgia millions remember from their childhood mixed with the wit and charm of America's next game show host.
