Former Ku Klux Klan leader Chester Doles tried to run for Lumpkin County Board of Commissioners District 3 but was disqualified because he's a felon who didn't meet the requirements to run, according to the Georgia Republican Party.

The University of Alabama has added the name of Autherine Lucy Foster, its first Black student, to the Graves Hall campus building, named for Bibb Graves, a graduate of the university who was also notably a "Grand Cyclops" in the KKK.

Rep. Tommy Benton, a Republican Georgia lawmaker who has defended the KKK and the institution of slavery, has announced that he will not be seeking re-election into the state legislature next year.

Anthony Campo, a 33-year veteran of the Sheffield Lake Police Department in Ohio, was captured placing a piece of paper and a yellow hooded robe emblazoned with “Ku Klux Klan” on the desk of a Black officer last Friday.

Black residents in Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan, say they don’t feel safe after a KKK flag was displayed in a home's window in a town outside of Detroit.

A Black Wayne County prosecutor said that under state law, hanging a KKK flag in view of a Black family "unfortunately" was no crime.

The NAACP, the nation's oldest civil rights organization, filed a lawsuit citing the nation's oldest hate group - the KKK - alleging that Trump, his lawyer and far-right extremist groups violated the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871.
