Pat Buchanan, a right wing Republican and former MSNBC pundit has lashed out against his opponents, including former White House staffer, Van Jones and “civil rights groups” over his controversy with the network.

Buchanan has not appeared on MSNBC since October of 2011 and MSNBC President, Phil Griffin says that it was due to his book “Death Of A Superpower,” which contains a chapter called “The Death of White America.” Buchanan took heat when he appeared on the white supremacist radio show, “The Political Cesspool” to promote the book.

The s”The Political Cesspool’s” host, James Edwards who has strong ties to several white supremacist movements called Buchanan a mutual friend of his and GOP political candidate, Ron Paul and cited Buchanan’s response to the controversy as a way for Paul to deal with possible media reaction to Paul’s campaign’s scheduling of an appearance on the show in 2006.

The Huffington Post reports:

“Look, for a long period of time the hard left, militant gay rights groups, militant — they call themselves civil rights groups, but I’m not sure they’re concerned about civil rights — people of color, Van Jones, these folks and others have been out to get Pat Buchanan off TV,” Buchanan continued. “This has been done for years and years and years and it’s the usual suspects doing the same thing again.”

WAMU reports:

D.C.’s unemployment rate is 11.1 percent, which is higher than the national rate of 9.1 percent, but still lower than some of the hardest-hit states, such as Nevada. The District is also home to extreme poverty. Some nearly all-black wards of the city face Depression-era unemployment levels. Buchanan suggested a solution to the disproportionately high national unemployment rate among African Americans, now at 16 percent:

“One thing I would do is stop immigration into the country until all unemployment is down to 6 percent,” he said. “We’ve got to start putting our own people first.”

Both Sharpton and Obama were discussing the president's strengths when he told Sharpton that "your boy" has caved in on political negotiations before.

When former Republican Presidential candidate Pat Buchanan said “America has been the best country on earth for black folks” and “no people anywhere have done more to lift up blacks than white Americans”, you can be sure that he believed every word.

As recently as 2004, the typical Black family earned only 58% of what the typical white family earned, a full 5% less than the percentage of white income that a Black family earned way back in 1974.

Even if the Blacks and whites are similarly educated, the white male still out earns the Black male by 30%.

Take a look at some of the most well-known Black entrepreneurs who dodged poverty:

The Black poverty rate, though down considerably since the early 1990s, was at a still astonishing 24.7% in 2008.

Among the myth-based mindsets that even non-virulently racist whites can’t seem to shake is that welfare is a predominantly Black phenomenon.

Meanwhile, most Blacks know by now that purely from a gross numerical standpoint, way more whites are on welfare than Blacks.

Add to that the fact that white America’s awe for white wealth—regardless of its source—doesn’t extend to Black wealth.

Mafia members, bootleggers and stock market fixers are all respected for their ingenuity and only loathed when they get caught.

This is the reason that Bernie Madoff could run his fraudulently-gotten gains up to 65 billion but 5 grams of crack will get a Black kid 5 years mandatory the very first time he gets busted.

So why are so many Black people poor?

Well simply stated, the “Buchanan mentality” becomes a daft exercise in the worst kind of circular logic, allowing whites to feel guiltless about not hiring even the most qualified Blacks because somewhere in their minds, they think that Blacks always have welfare to fall back on, meanwhile Buchanan “types” simultaneously work to reverse affirmative action and nearly exterminating welfare altogether seemingly, one might think, just because Blacks have been so ungrateful after all that white people have done to help.

From DailyKos.com:

Newsweek brings you the five biggest lies of the health care debate. These are whoppers so big that anyone should be embarrassed to be associated with them. But these lies didn’t originate from some obscure quarter, and they’re not being spread over the backyard fence. Here’s a quick look at the Big Lies, and just a few examples of how the top names on the right are willing to bathe in BS if it helps their funders in the insurance industry.

1. You’ll have no choice in what health benefits you receive.

If you read the bill – Title I, Subtitle E, Sections 141-143, on pages 41-48 – it turns out that the Health Choices Commissioner’s job is, essentially, to make your health choices for you. … The so-called “Health Choices Commissioner” will be the closest the United States has come to having an absolute ruler since King George III.
– Heritage Foundation

2. No chemo for older medicare patients.

After he was diagnosed with brain cancer more than a year ago, Sen. Kennedy had excellent care, including surgery and chemotherapy, before he died last week. … In the future, will a man of Kennedy’s age, with brain cancer but without the means of offsetting his own healthcare costs, be kept alive, operated on, given chemotherapy — by a government obsessed with cutting healthcare costs? Rationed care is coming, and the death panels will not be far behind.
– Pat Buchanan

3. Illegal immigrants will get free health insurance.

The National Council of La Raza and the Congressional Hispanic Caucus pushed to include illegal immigrants in the president’s healthcare effort. Despite statements to the contrary, the Obama administration could force the American people to pay for the healthcare of millions of illegal immigrants in the U.S.

4. Death panels will decide who lives.

The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “death panel” so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their “level of productivity in society,” whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.
— Sarah Palin
In Oregon, the law permits doctors to assist in the suicide of terminal patients who wish to end their lives. Let us assume numerous patients have Alzheimer’s and, so, cannot be part of the decision to end their lives. Who then makes the decision to continue or end life? Would it be unfair to call the decision-makers in those cases a death panel?
– Pat Buchanan
“I think that’s a legitimate point. You don’t have to call it death panels if you don’t want to. You can call it a panel. I call it rationing.”
