In an interview with Sean Hannity, former Alaska Governor and GOP Vice Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin, claimed that President Barack Obama was trying to bring America back to the days before the Civil War.

The discussion was prompted by Obama’s speech at Harvard Law School. Palin claimed that Obama did not believe that “All people are created equal.”

Now, it has taken all these years for many Americans to understand that that gravity, that mistake, took place before the Civil War and why the Civil War had to really start changing America. What Barack Obama seems to want to do is go back to before those days when we were in different classes based on income, based on color of skin.

JUNEAU, Alaska — Sarah Palin says it’s not too late for someone to jump into the Republican presidential race.

Asked by Fox Business Network about the likelihood that she’d become a candidate, the former Alaska governor and 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee said it’s not too late for “folks” to jump in. Said Palin: “Who knows what will happen in the future.”

The full interview is scheduled for broadcast Monday night.

Palin told Fox News Channel over the weekend that she felt no enthusiasm for anyone in the current GOP field and that she needed to feel something before she would offer an endorsement.

Palin said in October that she wouldn’t seek the GOP nomination. She said she could be more effective helping others get elected.

This response garnered him a flurry of negative at replies to his account; but Jones stood his ground and said it was only a joke.

Sarah Palin publicly praised Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain whose support seems to be growing nearly a week after he won Florida’s straw poll.

Likening Cain to a media-fueled flavor of the week Palin, told Fox Business Network that she is one of Cain’s biggest fans.

“I’m not saying that Herman Cain is the flavor of the week. I’m one of his biggest fans and I would never dismiss him or speak negatively about him,” Palin said.

“The media does have to gin up some controversy and intrigue so viewers tune in and there’s a lot of competition in the media world in this quasi-reality show, it seems, that’s being created in the GOP primary,” Palin said, giving the shows viewers an earful.

Artist, singer, and former Haitian Presidential candidate, Wyclef Jean has told MTV that he is a “huge fan of Sarah Palin” and is disappointed that she is not running for President.

Wyclef was previously a self proclaimed Obama groupie during the 2008 Presidential Election.

“I have to tell you this: I am a huge fan of Sarah Palin,” he told the audience (via WWD). “Cause she’s rad. She’s shrewd. She’s cool. Because at the end of the day, I’m for the people, because this is the United States of America… this is what America’s really about. Book Claims Sarah Palin Had One Night Stand With NBA’s Glen Rice

A new book about Sarah Palin claims that she had a one night stand with former NBA player Glen Rice.

The book claims that Palin had sex with Rice during a college basketball tournament in Alaska in 1987 while Rice was playing for Michigan, and Palin was a sports reporter for a TV station in Alaska.

The National Enquirer reports:

A publishing source told The ENQUIRER that McGinniss claims Sarah had a “fetish” for black men at the time and he quotes a friend as saying Sarah had “hauled (Rice’s) ass down.”

A source unrelated to the book told The ENQUIRER, Todd was very much in the picture at the time and the couple married just nine months later.

In the book, McGinniss quotes Rice as confirming the one-night stand.

With the Republican presidential race making way, Sarah Palin told Newsweek that she has no doubt in her ability to win the Republican nomination, and succinctly the oval office.

The former Governor of Alaska and current celebrity said the only thing that will prevent her from running is her family.

“If it came down to the family just saying, ‘Please, Mom, don’t do this,’ then that would be the deal-killer for me, because your family’s gotta be in it with you,” Palin said.

As for her prospective platform Palin proclaimed, “The people of America are desperate for positive change, and deserving of positive change, to get us off of this wrong track.”

“I’m not so egotistical as to believe that it has to be me, or it can only be me, to turn things around,” she said. “But I do believe that I can win.”

Whatever decision Palin makes will alter the near-ideal circumstance she enjoys now. From the remove of her cyber-perches on Twitter and Facebook, and the occasional appearance on Fox News (where she is a paid contributor), Palin is able to do plenty of politicking, unfettered by the encumbrances of a declared candidacy. She has no campaign staff directing her course (a famous source of unease during her vice-presidential run) and no press secretary urging her to accommodate what she calls the “lamestream media.” She and Todd are free to keep any schedule they wish. “We don’t advertise where we’re going,” she said that evening, in what might be the understatement of the political season.

Sarah Palin’s Released Emails Written At 8th Grade Level

Though the release of thousands of Sarah Palin’s emails have done little to help her reputation as an airhead, an analysis of the former governor’s messages show her writing to be at an 8th grade level, higher then that of many corporate executives.

HuffingtonPost.com reports:

AOL Weird News brought samples to two writing analysts who independently evaluated 24,000 pages of the former governor’s emails. They came back in agreement that Palin composed her messages at an eighth-grade level.

“I am a hunter. I grew up hunting – some of my best memories growing up are of hunting with my dad to help feel [sic] our freezer,” she wrote to aides on a bear hunting issue under debate.

Expose Her! Alaska To Release Sarah Palin’s Emails

JUNEAU, Alaska — The nation is about to get a new look at Sarah Palin’s tenure as Alaska governor.

The state on Friday is scheduled to release more than 24,000 pages of Palin’s emails from her first two years as governor, providing a fresh glimpse into how she led the state as she rose to become a player on the national political stage.

The emails were first requested during the 2008 White House race by citizens and news organizations, including The Associated Press, as they vetted a vice presidential nominee whose political experience included less than one term as governor of Alaska and a term as mayor of the small town of Wasilla. The nearly three-year delay has been attributed largely to the sheer volume of the release and the flood of requests.

Alaska is releasing the thousands of emails in paper form only and asking news organizations to pick up several boxes worth of documents in Alaska’s capital city, accessible by only air or water. Reporters from several news organizations have already begun arriving in Juneau and are making various plans to disseminate the emails to the public.

Palin told Fox News Sunday that she was unfazed by the release of emails, saying there are no more rocks that could be turned over about her life or time as governor. But she also said “a lot of those emails obviously weren’t meant for public consumption” and that she expected people might seek to take some of the messages “out of context.”

There may not be any surprises to Palin in the emails, however. Once the state reviewed the records, it gave Palin’s attorneys an opportunity to see if they had any privacy concerns with what was being released. No emails were withheld or redacted as a result of that, said Linda Perez, the administrative director for Gov. Sean Parnell who has been coordinating the release.

The voluminous nature of the release, the isolation of Juneau and the limited bandwidth in the city of 30,000 people has forced media outlets to come up with creative ways to transmit the information. The Washington Post is looking for “100 organized and diligent readers” to work with reporters to “analyze, contextualize, and research the e-mails.” The New York Times is employing a similar system.

Mother Jones, ProPublica and msnbc.com are working with Crivella West Inc., to create a searchable database of the emails. The Associated Press also plans to scan the paper copies to make searchable files available to its members and clients. The state said it was not practical to provide electronic versions of the emails.

It’s not clear yet whether the 24,199 pages being released will contain any major revelations. They will cover the period from the time she took office in December 2006 to her ascension to vice presidential nominee in September 2008. Requests have been made for emails from her final 10 months in office. The state hasn’t begun the process of reviewing those yet. Palin resigned partway through her term, in July 2009.

Prior records requests have shed light on the Palin administration’s efforts to advance a natural gas pipeline project and the role played by Palin’s husband in state business.

The email release adds another dimension to the vetting of Palin that began in 2008 and comes as she has become a prominent national political figure, attracting large crowds during a recent bus tour across the Northeast. Palin’s attorney referred questions about the emails to the treasurer of her political action committee, who did not immediately respond Thursday.

The emails were sent and received by Palin’s personal and state email accounts, and the ones being released were deemed to be related to state business.

She and top aides were known to communicate using private email accounts. Perez said Palin gave the state a CD with emails from her Yahoo account, and other employees were asked to review their private accounts for emails related to state business and to send those to their state accounts.

Another 2,275 pages are being withheld for reasons including attorney-client, work product or executive privilege; an additional 140 pages were deemed to be “non-records,” or unrelated to state business.

Some emails may have been previously reviewed in other, earlier public records requests, such as in the Troopergate investigation, in which Palin was accused of putting pressure on public safety officials to fire her brother-in-law, an Alaska State Trooper who was going through a bitter divorce from Palin’s sister.

Clive Thomas, a long-time Palin observer who’s writing a book on Alaska politics, said he’s not sure what the emails will contain – or whether their contents will affect people’s perceptions of Palin.

“I guess most people, I think, who don’t like Sarah Palin are hoping there’s something in there that will deliver the final sort of blow to her (politically),” he said. As for Palin’s supporters, he said he doesn’t think their opinion of her will be changed regardless of what comes out.

WASHINGTON — Despite the sluggish economy, President Barack Obama still has a substantial lead over his potential GOP rivals in 2012.

Reuters reports:

Obama leads all potential Republican challengers by double-digit margins. He is ahead of his closest Republican rival, former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney, by 13 percentage points — 51 percent to 38 percent.

Palin, who has not said whether she will run, had the support of 22 percent of the Republicans surveyed and Romney had 20 percent.

Representative Ron Paul, a libertarian Republican from Texas, and former pizza executive Herman Cain were tied for third with 7 percent each.

According to Yoruba mythology, when Sango discovers that, unbeknownst to him, a deity has been tortured and abused on his land, he becomes so outraged that he challenges Olodumare, the Supreme Deity, to a street fight.

Well, right now, Sarah Palin and Donald Trump appear to be teaming up with the intention of becoming no less than a two-headed Sango.

The commercial appeal of a Palin-Trump ticket in 2012 is undeniable.

In today’s age of cellular celebrity, being known is half the battle. Notoriety due to being notorious is far preferable to anonymity. And it’s only against this backdrop that the failed governor of the nation’s 4^th least populous state – and a businessman touted for everything except his 4 bankruptcies – could conceivably be considered for the nation’s highest offices.

Amazingly, their chances are not as long a shot as one might think—given they apply the proper strategy.

In addition to their A-list appeal, what Palin and Trump would have to do to stand a chance to win on the Republican ticket in 2012 is convince the American people that, like Sango, a crime has been committed on their land and that they were unaware of the crime at the time.

Anybody who couldn’t see Donald Trump’s “birther” fixation as one of these attempts missed the point.

I’m curious as to what else these two have up their sleeves.

For the Americans that Palin and Trump plan to target, watching President Obama as of late must be like watching the least-liked member of your favorite basketball team enter the game with the team down and start launching three-pointer after three-pointer.

You scream “No!” every time he shoots one, but then he makes them.

How do you respond? Are you simply happy for the team? Are you happy, but would you rather have had a player that you liked more make the same shots? Or do you dislike that particular player so much that you’d actually root against your own team just to see that player fail?

Palin and Trump are hoping that most Americans fall into the last two categories.

As for the Yoruba myth, Oxala, the tortured and abused deity himself, rebukes Sango for his blasphemy.

Let’s hope that the American people give Ms. Palin and Mr. Trump’s political aspirations an ending just as African.

NEW YORK– Sarah Palin and Donald Trump exchanged words of admiration Tuesday after a brief meeting at the real estate magnate’s penthouse in a Manhattan skyscraper bearing his name.

Palin, the former Republican vice presidential nominee, said she and Trump shared similar ideas for improving the U.S. economy, while Trump called Palin a “terrific woman and a terrific friend” who he hoped would seek the GOP presidential nomination.

The meeting, part political parley and part reality TV show, capped the third day of Palin’s bus trip through historic sites along the East Coast. Palin has said she is considering joining the field of Republican candidates vying to challenge President Barack Obama next year.

Earlier, Palin, her husband, Todd, and several family members toured sites in Pennsylvania, including the Gettysburg Civil War battlefield and Philadelphia’s Independence Hall.

Trump, the multimillionaire host of “Celebrity Apprentice” who mused about a presidential bid himself before dropping out of the running earlier this month, made headlines painting the U.S. as a country in decline. He criticized China for unfair trade practices and said the U.S. under Obama had become a “laughingstock” to the rest of the world.

Palin apparently heeded those words, saying she and Trump shared a similar world view.

“What do we have in common? Our love for this country, a desire to see our economy put back on the right track,” Palin told reporters after a 15-minute meeting with Trump outside the Trump Tower, where he owns a three-floor penthouse.

“To have a balanced trade arrangement with other countries across this world so Americans can have our jobs, our industries, our manufacturing again. And exploiting responsibly our natural resources. We can do that again if we make good decisions,” Palin said.

Trump demurred when asked if he would support a Palin presidential candidacy.

“She didn’t ask me for that. She came up as friends,” Trump said. “She’s a great woman, a terrific woman and a terrific friend. I’d love her to run.”

Palin added, “We both agree that competition is good and the more folks in that primary, the better.”

After the meeting, Trump and his wife, Melania, rode in a stretch limousine with Palin, her parents and youngest daughter, Piper, to have dinner at a pizza restaurant in Times Square. The Palins planned to visit Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty Wednesday morning.

Scharlott’s article walks through all the evidence supporting the theory, including the photos of Palin in what is said to have been a late-stage pregnancy, the leisurely 20-hour trip home that Palin took after she supposedly went into labor in Texas, the refusal of the hospital where Trig was supposedly born to even confirm that he was born there (let alone who was the mother), strange statements from Palin’s doctor and the McCain campaign, and so on.

Palin’s politics of grievance and group identity, according to these critics, is a betrayal of conservative principles. For decades, it was a standard line of the right that liberals cynically promoted victimhood to achieve their goals and that they practiced the politics of identity — race, sex and class—over ideas

Matt Labash, a longtime writer for the Weekly Standard, said that because of Palin’s frequent appeals to victimhood and group grievance, “She’s becoming Al Sharpton, Alaska edition.”

Jared Loughner may not have attended a Tea Party rally or registered with any Tea Party groups, but he shares several similarities with the Tea Party movement.

1. Anger Against The Government

The first obviously is his anger against the government. His violent act reflected the anger against government for health care, and immigration symbolized by Sarah Palin’s placement of Rep. Gifford in the crosshairs of gun.

While Loughner’s rants may seem like those of a madmen, so do most rants from Tea Party members. Several elements from Loughner’s rants directly tie him the Patriot Movement, anti-New World Order crowd, that is prominent in the Tea Party.

2. Obsessed With The Constitution

Like many in the Tea Party, Loughner was obsessed with the Constitution. He would use the Constitution to back up his nonsensical arguments constantly according to teacher’s and classmates.

3. Major “New World Order” Conspiracy Theorist

Also like many people in the Tea Party, Loughner was a conspiracy theorist. He believed in a New World Order conspiracy and global currency plot, not unlike the Patriot Movement section of the Tea Party, represented by Alex Jones and Ron Paul. His views on currency also mirror Ron Paul’s and the Patriot movement’s according to the SPLC.

4. Connected To White Supremacist Organization

According to Fox News, the Department Of Homeland Security has tied Loughner to American Renaissance, a pro-Tea Party white supremacist organization. Both the NAACP and myself have connected the Tea Party to several white supremacist organizations.

5. Ayn Rand Fan

Loughner listed Ayn Rand’s “We Are Living” as one of his favorite books. Ayn Rand is Tea Party hero credited with inspiring its philosophy.

The Patriot movement, which is having a big resurgence under the Tea Party, has produced several right wing terrorists. The first one, Timothy McVeigh, a New World Order fearing conspiracy theorist with ties to white supremacists like Loughner, killed 168 people in a terror attack in 1995. James Von Brunn the Holocaust shooter who killed a security guard at the Holocaust museum in Washington D.C. was another right wing terrorist who ranted against the federal reserve, supported Tea Party favorite, Ron Paul and posted on the right wing website, Free Republic.

Byron Williams was inspired by another Tea Party icon, Glenn Beck to plan out an assassination attempt of leaders of the Tides Foundation and the ACLU in an act of terror in 2010 before he was pulled over by police and had a shootout with them.

Jon Patrick Bedell, the man who shot two officers at the Pentagon in a terrorist attack was a fan of Ron Paul’s paleoconservative Lugwig Von Mises institute and Ron Paul’s former head of staff, Lew Rockwell, and the Hutaree Militia who allegedly were planning an attack to kill police men and civilians in Michigan for another terrorist attack were part of the Patriot movement and its leader was a “Ron Paul” fanatic according to his wife.

The elements that had a role in Loughner’s deranged world view, that lead to his atrocious act are all active in the Tea Party, a strong hatred of government, a belief in conspiracy theories, and racism.

Republican leaders must recognize the presence of conspiracy theories, racism, and anti-government resentment in the Tea Party if they are going to incorporate the Tea Party into the GOP. They either need to speak out against these elements or take responsibility next time some McVeigh, Loughner, Bedell, or Williams kills innocent people in a senseless act of terror. In the same way they blame radical Islamic clerics, for the acts of terrorists, leaders and activists on the right must take accountability for the actions of their followers and who they influence.

New York– Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin emailed each other about the shooting in Arizona, and Beck read some of their exchange on his Monday radio show. Beck told Palin he feared for her safety, and he condemned the shooting, which led to the deaths of six people and the wounding of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.

Both have been accused by some as having contributed to the political climate that may have indirectly led to the shooting. Palin, in particular, has drawn criticism for the map she put up that placed Giffords’ congressional district, among others, within crosshairs.

Oprah got into politics during her wide-ranging talk with Barbara Walters, weighing in on President Obama’s performance and her views on a potential run for president by Sarah Palin.

She said that she had sensed that Obama would be president ever since the first time she met him. Asked by Walters how she felt about his tenure so far, Oprah backed him firmly.

“I think it’s unfortunate when you have a nation of people who don’t want to support the president of the United States,” she said. “I think we don’t realize how close we came to Depression….people can’t see it because they’re only thinking about themselves. The fact that people still are out of jobs, but we’re not in breadlines, we forget.”

Sarah Palin Will Go To Haiti

JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) — Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin plans to visit Haiti amid a period of political upheaval this weekend to aid humanitarian efforts in the Caribbean country.

A Palin staffer confirmed Thursday that Palin, the 2008 vice presidential nominee and a potential 2012 presidential contender, planned to travel to Haiti with the Rev. Franklin Graham as part of the outreach of his Samaritan’s Purse relief organization.
A spokeswoman for the group confirmed Palin planned to visit relief sites this weekend.
A cholera outbreak has killed more than 2,000 people in Haiti, a country that is still recovering from a devastating earthquake earlier this year and is in the midst of a disputed presidential election.
Gunfire and barricades were reported Thursday in the capital city of Port-au-Prince, and the U.S. State Department reissued a travel warning to the country and recommended against nonessential travel.

There is a good opinion piece in the Washington Post about Sarah Palin’s recent racially tinged criticism of Michelle Obama in her book.

It’s appalling that Palin and too many others fail to understand that fact – indeed so many facts of American history. They don’t offer the slightest hint that they can appreciate the history of the Obama family and that in Michelle’s case, her ancestors were slaves – Jim Robinson of South Carolina, her paternal great-great grandfather, being one. Even after they were freed they were consigned to peonage, second-class citizens, forbidden to vote in much of the South, dissuaded from doing so in some of the North, relegated to separate schools, restaurants, churches, hotels, waiting rooms of train stations, the back of the bus, the other side of the tracks, the mortuary, the cemetery and, if whites could manage it, heaven itself.

It was the government that oppressed blacks, enforcing the laws that imprisoned them and hanged them for crimes grave and trivial, whipped them if they bolted for freedom and, in the Civil War, massacred them if they were captured fighting for the North. And yet if African Americans hesitate in embracing the mythical wonderfulness of America, they are accused of racism – of having the gall to know more about their own experience and history than Palin and others think they should.

Prosecutors say a rural Wisconsin man blasted his TV with a shotgun after watching Bristol Palin’s “Dancing with the Stars” routine, sparking an all-night standoff with a SWAT team.

According to court documents, 67-year-old Steven Cowan of the town of Vermont in Dane County became enraged while watching Palin dance on Monday evening. He felt Palin was not a good dancer.

He went to his bedroom and returned to the living room with a shotgun and blasted the TV, then pointed the gun at his wife, who managed to escape and call police. Tactical officers surrounded the house and finally managed to talk Cowan out Tuesday morning.

He has been charged second-degree reckless endangerment, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and $25,000 in fines. It was unclear whether Cowan has retained an attorney.

DALLAS — Sarah Palin attacked President Barack Obama on Wednesday for his support of abortion rights and for the federal health care overhaul as the former Alaska governor appeared in Texas with another tea party favorte, Gov. Rick Perry.

Palin described Obama as “the most pro-abortion president to occupy the White House” at the Dallas event, which was sponsored by a nonprofit organization that promotes an anti-abortion message. The 2008 Republican vice-presidential nominee also said the federal health care law is the “mother of all unfunded mandates” and means federal funding will go toward abortions.

The law walled off federal funds from being used for the procedure, and an executive order signed by Obama just before it passed reaffirmed existing prohibitions on government-financed abortion, but anti-abortion activists argue that neither would actually prevent tax money from being used.

The law is expected to expand coverage to 32 million Americans who now are uninsured. It asks states to build online insurance exchanges, when most U.S. residents will be required to carry health insurance. It also greatly expands the Medicaid program for the poor.

A crowd of about 800 people filled about half the seats at a one-time vaudeville house to hear Palin and brief remarks from Perry, who was re-elected to a third full four-year term last week. Both have courted tea party support and some attending the event spoke in passing of whether the two could appear on a presidential ticket together, although the issue wasn’t front and center.

“It leads to speculation, but that’s what politics is all about,” said Jeff Turner, a Dallas County Republican precinct chairman.

Palin opened her talk with anecdotes about her family. At one point, she noted she has told many of the same stories before.

“I need to run for office just so I have more material to share in my speeches,” she said to applause.

Palin praised Perry and Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott, who also appeared at the event, for their public opposition to the federal health care law.

“Good for them, because we have to fight back against this federal power grab,” Palin said.

Palin and Perry appeared together in April at another event sponsored by the same Austin-based group, Heroic Media, but their careers have become more entwined since last week’s midterm elections.

Perry has gained a higher national profile as he has promoted his recently released book, “Fed Up!: Our Fight to Save America from Washington.”

Mark Yarbrough, executive director of the Denton County Republican Party, said he was happy to see two of the GOP’s current luminaries share the same stage. “Just the thought of what can be done – the two of them together – is interesting to me,” he said.

Ann Quest of Dallas, who identified herself as a tea party supporter, said she would see what the future holds for the pair.

“It’s been just a week since the elections,” she said.

Those attending Wednesday’s event paid for tickets of between $50 and $100 or sponsorships between $500 and $25,000.
