Sandra Bland died in police custody three days after she was arrested.

There have been renewed calls to open up the investigation into Sandra Bland’s suspicious death after a Texas news outlet published the video she filmed of her own infamous arrest in 2015.

A Black man was found hanged to death in the same jail where Sandra Bland died.

The inexperienced jailer confessed to Bland's lawyers that he forged jail records -- confirming he'd checked on Bland an hour before her death, when he really had not.

During the remainder of the week, services are scheduled to honor the life of the woman family and friends lovingly called "Sandy."
