Stupid and barbaric.

I agree that it is stupid and barbaric….but at the same time it is also pitiful that the root cause of this is man’s baser needs. Notice that the main reason that this practice is done is to make girls unattractive to men… sigh… Not one to say that man is the root of all evil but…if the shoe fits this time….

This doesnt make sense to me. What is needed, as the video says, is proper sex education and talking to girls, allowing them to make proper sexual decisons and not deforming them like this. I have never heard about this, and it just makes me frustrated because it seems that women and girl children suffer the most pain in these ignorant ways: stoning, female genital mutilation and this breast ironing.

Wait a minute…All my life, I thought the bigger a woman’s….lemme shut up. This is stupid and counterproductive to a young woman’s mental and psychological development.

I agree this sounds barbaric. But none of us live in that culture, enviroment,society.We have no idea whats really foreseen as the “best” way for these people to let their children survive in THEIR society.

Plus,the comment about “allowing their young women to make their own decisions.” In American society our young women are allowed to make all kinds of decisions,and we have outrages numbers of these very same aged young women having unwanted children and making less then respectable decisions. Rather then being raped our ,young women REGULARLY consent to sex acts with,multiple partners. Our young women who appear on Maury, are allowed to make their own decisions.

It is a barbaric sounding act, but we come from a country of flaunting silly-cone, these people are not only from the birth place of ALL our existences, their blocks are a whole lot coulder and alot more realer then those we’re used to in America.

I think breast ironing is wrong but that is Cameroon. Different countries have different cultures and virtues. I don’t think these people are any more barbaric than the people who spank their children. Both issues are wrong in my opinion. But just like a person says they spank their child because they love them I’m sure those women think the same thing when they iron their daughters breast. Though I would definitely take a whooping over have my breast ironed. But we are talking about two different cultures here. Education is the think that is lacking in both situations. We allow our daughters to have babies as teenagers, so I wonder what the Cameroons think of us. Breast ironing and teenage pregnancy will both have permanent effects.

Listen, I would like to say that this type of behavior in our society is wrong and it should be stop ASAP! Let’s realize that we need to question the entity that made the report and the organization that backs the individuals? question where they are from? the culture they belong, and if they even realize the culture that they are exposing to the world? Ask yourself, why the report pushes a stifling thoughts and ideas of our black men? Is this a movement carried over by the feminist movement, by adding a dangerous monster ideology of our men?

This type of reports comes out frequently, and has been used against our black men; in which we are being bastardize as a unit as sexual predators without morals and values of the life of our black queens. Look at the woman reporting, a white woman, and evidently came from Europe. Hence, her accent and her lack of melanin. How many times have we heard, black men are dangerous to our black women? Too many times that it tramples and blankets the ugly treatment of our women by white men and white supremacy period. Our village is under attack both from whites and mongoloids(chinese), and things are resulting in our black women becoming widows, lonely, hatred of children and the idea of a family, hatred of herself, hatred of her own men. WE HAVE BECOME, WHAT WE FEARED THE MOST, WE ARE NOW WHO OUR OPPRESSORS ARE.

If this story is true, why should a woman or a young girl have to flatten out her boobs to stop all that sh!t from happening. How about people are sent to prison if they commit a crime. And just because a woman don’t have big boobs don’t mean someone won’t be interest so that’s not preventing pregancies.

I think you are taking what I am saying the wrong way.We always pinpoint on who is wrong, and for centuries the blame has been on us. The family unit was put together as the century came along all the way to the early 60′s. The the feminist movement came and destroyed our womans movement led by our ancestors like Sojourner Truth, Dr. Hare, Alice Walker and others. The white women introduced to Black Women to the feminist movement and made everything we were working with into a man against woman, woman against a man thing. They made us take sides. Therefore, our Black women left our sides and went to the sides of white women. To this day, we still carry that idea today more strongly than ever. Instead of us fighting together as a VILLAGE and a FAMILY UNIT for INDEPENDENCE AND TRUE FREEDOM, now our women are fighting for INDEPENDENCE from the US, THE BLACK MEN.

People wake up. Let’s look at what is really going. They are not tell the whole story. In many cultures in various parts of the world are people and mainly our women may walk around nude or topless. They did not worry about being attack because our brothers were able to control themselves. In comes the European man who is unable to control himself. He sees are sisters and wants to take them and rape them which is happening a lot in the mother land. So what do our people do. They cover up the women or in this case do something extreme just to protect our women from these men.

They won’t tell you that in the media. These people have been living their lives for centuries without outside influence from the European now all of a sudden pregnancy is the problem. Come on. They are doing this to protect their daughters from Europeans who can not control themselves.

i’m currently in cameroon and this is the dumbest thing i’ve ever heard. how about birth control or abstinence and talking openly about sex to prevent pregancy.

This barbaric practice needs to be stopped. This is child abuse on a high level. Why not just educate the elders about sex education. The elders seem to be carrying on a traditional practice that they were taught. The cycle needs to be broken.
