8 U.S. Civilians Killed In Afghan Suicide Bombing

A suicide bomb attack on a military base in Afghanistan killed eight Americans Wednesday, a U.S. official told CBS News correspondent David Martin.

All the victims were civilians, a spokesman for the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan told CBS News.

The attack occurred in a makeshift gym at a forward operating military base in Khost province, reports Martin.

    American civilians on a military base? The US is at war with Afghanistan. Something doesn’t make sense if they are on a military base they are not civilians. I’m a civilian and you won’t find me near a military base in the US lets not even mention Afghanistan. I hate when the news tries to cover this up by labelling them civilans when they were probably paid contractors aka mercenaries. Don’t feel sorry for them either.
