Whatever your views about Cannabis, I think any right minded person would be outraged by this ridiculous policy. It is possible for any man woman or child to pick up traces in this way just by walking the streets or sitting on chairs in public places.

Well ….erm… I’m completely lost for words! Jail for 0.003gm of cannabis seems almost plausible compared with ’3′ poppy seeds from a bread roll !!!!! The world has gone completely and utterly insane.

BTW in the UAE poppy seeds like on a bread roll are considered the same as opium poppy seeds.

I went there a couple of years ago and both myself & the wife had to get doctors letters for our medication as both would have reasulted in a minimum of a 4 year jail sentence & that’s for prescribed pain-killers & anti-convulsants.

My advice – don’t travel to the UAE without checking the banned substance list and make sure nothing you take has been anywhere near drugs that are on the list – Oh it helps to be white and look like you have plenty of money too.
