This reminds me of the case several years ago where the man didn’t want to pay child support, so he intentionally injected his infant son with HIV hoping he’d die young. The kid’s in college now, but he is HIV+.

There’s a special place in Hell for people like this.

This is crazy on top of that now she is HIV positive and husbandless.She should have listened to her heart and her vows you know the part where they say in sickness and in health Till death do we part. If you are married why care if you are hiv positive.Marriage is forever she shouldn’t have forsaken her husband like that.

I would like to see some research on how much HIV positive blood has to be injected to contract the virus. I don’t just a needle p***k would be enough but I’m not a doctor.

And it changes your quality of life (if you even understand what that means), not to mention the fact that intentionally infecting someone with a terminal disease or having unprotected sex with them without notifying them; is a crime. Depending on where you live you can be charged with criminal transmission of HIV, murder, manslaughter, attempted murder, assault, or even reckless endangerment.

I’ll be so very glad when there’s a vaccine for those of us who are HIV-free and want to stay that way, and a subsequent cure for those with HIV. The guy is very sad, and his sadness took away his ability to reason. It’s a great disappointment. Far too many folks are being infected with HIV and far too many folks don’t know that they have HIV…especially in the Black community.
This happens all the time, in the USA, not just in New Zealand. It may not be with a pinp***k, it’s with a p***k. It may be more of a chronic disease now (like Herpes) as long as those HIV drugs are effective, but still a disease nonetheless… and still highly stigmatized, no matter how much people are now comfortable around those that have publicly disclosed that they have HIV – like Magic Johnson.

I can’t agree that she’s wrong for staying with him. I don’t recall reading how he contracted the virus. He could’ve been born positive, contracted it from a blood transfusion (pre- the extensive testing it goes through now) or a number of other ways that don’t involve cheating. However, I don’t think 14 years is nearly enough punishment for taking her life which he has ultimately done. Sex or lack their of is never a good reason to make the decision for someone that they should be infected. His selfish reasons and actions should land him a date with the chair or chamber or whateer New Zealand’s capital punishment method is.

Life is so short. It’s a shame that HIV has to be forced on anyone. Kudos to the wife for sticking by her husband, unfortunately, for the worse. Unexpected acts will and can happen. As far as the husband is concerned, voluntary manslaughter will not go unpunished.

WELLINGTON (AFP) – An HIV-positive man in New Zealand has admitted injecting his blood into his sleeping wife and infecting her with the virus which can cause AIDS, a newspaper reported Sunday.

It is believed the man wanted to give her the disease so she would start having sex with him again, the Sunday Star-Times said.

Court doc**ents detail how the man twice p***ked his wife with a sewing needle laced with his infected blood, and how she once caught him handling a syringe full of his blood.

The man, 35, admitted infecting his wife, 33, and faces up to 14 years imprisonment when he is sentenced in the Auckland High Court early next year.

The man discovered he was HIV-positive, but his wife and children were not, during health checks imposed on them when the family arrived in New Zealand in 2004.

The woman said she wanted to maintain the relationship for the sake of the children but refused to have sex with her husband as she feared she would contract the disease.

She described how in May last year she discovered a sting-like mark on her left thigh and two days later she awoke to a stinging feeling in her leg.

During a routine check-up four months later she found she was HIV-positive and confronted her husband who admitted dipping a needle in his blood and p***king her with it.

“All he said (was) he was sorry. He said: ‘I used needles on you because I wanted you to be the same as me so that you can live with me and you won’t leave me’,” she said.
