I would be happy to celebrate this so called “historical” moment if it actually meant something. All the democrats have done was found someone (with very little experience) who could draw votes across ethnicity and age boundaries while saying much of nothing semi-elegantly.
To MoneyMake221: You said “this man is the top 3 greatest speakers and minds that i ever heard in my lifetime”. WOW, you’ve got to be kidding me bro. If you think he is one of the top 3 Speakers/Minds of your lifetime you either don’t get out much or you’re 10 years old.
this man is the top 3 greatest speakers and minds that i ever heard in my lifetime he accomplished what no other blackman has ever accomplished
these are supposed to be the top 5 campaign moments – they don’t ALL have to be super-serious and political. when Obama brushed his shoulders off, that was a great moment because it was not only new & fresh from a politician but it was also a nod to a Black cultural icon, Jay-Z. that single gesture seemed to bridge gaps and effectively invite young people, especially young BLACK people to get involved in the political process.
so stop hatin.
It is unreal how IGNORANT some individuals can be (and of “our” ethnicity at that). I won’t “entertain” the fools but say that I am so grateful that I am BLESSED to see such a historical moment as Obama becoming the FIRST African American President. This should serve as inspiration to all that you can defeat the odds to do anything you want or become anything you choose. God Bless America
.
like it or not, his father is of African descent, making him half African American, there for like it or not, he’s the first African American president. America will just have to accept it, and move on. Those who don’t are obviously naive and shouldn’t be paid any attention too. Ironically, it’s always black people who pull each other down when we do something historic. Like crabs in a bucket; if you can’t make it, then none of us can. Sorry hater’s, I suggest you get on the bus or get left behind.
bet? ummmm…….duh. BLACKplanet.com and BLACK entertainment television. They sound related to me. If you can’t see that, i guess u r the silly one. Moving on……….
GOBAMA!!!!! Hate it or love it, HE’S your President. HA HA!!!
From your first two choice of words, sounds like you already been watchin too much BET.
Just because President-Elect Obama is of darker skin, does not mean he is the first African-American President!!!!!
you niggas sure are silly… “A person brushing his shoulder makes tha list?… This site is slowly turning into BET.
