DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Sekondi Landry is a 12-year-old boy who launched a campaign to keep his neighborhood library open, making signs and collecting signatures in protest of the closure.

Moved by the efforts of Landry, the library’s trustees voted to keep the Scott Candler Library open with reduced hours until a new library is opened next year.
