She shouted “Popeye did it!” though authorities initially thought she said “Papi.”

Cops found Rivera hiding behind a mattress at an apartment near the scene of the attack. Was arrested on Sunday and charged with murder for the 6-year-old and attempted murder for the 12-year-old. The Camden County prosecutor’s office says his bloody sneakers match footprints found at the crime scene, according to The Daily News.
According to CBS New York, there is no clear motive, if any, behind the attack. The Daily News reports that Rivera was “high on a combination of PCP and marijuana” during the attack.
