Rivera also allegedly slashed the throat of Andujor’s 12-year-old sister, Amber, during the 2 a.m. attack. The boy died at the scene. Amber is in critical condition at a local hospital. Though seriously injured, Amber was able to flee the scene and get help from neighbors.
She shouted “Popeye did it!” though authorities initially thought she said “Papi.”
Cops found Rivera hiding behind a mattress at an apartment near the scene of the attack. Was arrested on Sunday and charged with murder for the 6-year-old and attempted murder for the 12-year-old. The Camden County prosecutor’s office says his bloody sneakers match footprints found at the crime scene, according to The Daily News.
