Interestingly, I didn’t know that Junior (as we called him) rode a motorcycle or was in a motorcycle club. At the funeral, I would get a glimpse into the culture and perspectives of his community of motorcyclists and the camaraderie they shared.

Dr. Leandris Liburd is the Director of the CDC’s Office of Minority Health, serving as the agency lead in coordinating CDC engagement with HHS, other federal agencies, national organizations, and the public on issues of health equity to improve minority health.
