Albany — Lame-duck Gov. David Paterson celebrated his last month in office today by spending the entire afternoon on WFAN sports radio batting around questions about his blindness, his rocky tenure as governor and his beloved Mets.

The Democratic executive, who is slated to hand over the keys to the Executive Mansion Jan. 1 to Andrew Cuomo, made his five-hour appearance this afternoon to follow through on a promise to host Mike Franscesa.

Paterson told Francesa that he thought his tumultuous accession to governor in March 2008, his blindness and the then-building financial crisis all conspired to get his administration off to a bad start.
