The National Civil Rights Museum is hosting their 25th Annual 2016 Freedom Awards this evening in Memphis, Tennessee.

Underserved women are affected the most, according to the study. Approximately two-thirds of women in jail identify with a minority group; 44 percent are Black, 15 percent Hispanic, and five percent are of other racial/ethnic backgrounds. Thirty six percent of women in jail identify as White.

While we're pleased the vendors had the opportunity to sell their wares at the RNC, organizers should have put more thought into the set up of the Urban League tent, which appeared to be segregated from the predominantly White convention.
