All Pro Baseball Players Will Wear 42 in Honor of Jackie Robinson

52 years ago today, on April 15 1947, Jackie Robinson became the first African American to play in the major leagues. Today every player in the MLB will wear Robinson’s number, 42 in honor of him.
The tradition began in 2007 on the 60th anniversary of Robinson’s first game.
