D’Leon Barnett of George Mason University, Donald Depass of Duke University, Curtis D. Flournov Jr. of Williams College and Caleb J. Gayle of the University of Oklahoma are among 16 black male college students selected into an eight-week intensive leadership program for high-achieving African-American males.

The program, sponsored by the Institute for Responsible Citizenship, takes place in Washington, D.C., over two consecutive summers, according to the Journal of Blacks in Higher Education.

The participants will take three courses in government and economics for academic credit, and will be placed in an internship that coincides with their career goals and they attend a series of private meetings and seminars.
