Chicago-based Johnson Publishing Company, which published JET and Ebony magazines, has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel recently announced that Johnson Publishing Co.’s former headquarters may be designated as a landmark.
Rogers explained the sale was "extremely important" and allowed the storied publications "to continue to grow," as well as make them "viable moving forward in the future."
