A company that distributes books has responded to a lawsuit filed by a woman who gained infamy by trying to call out a public transit worker for eating on the subway in Washington, D.C.

Natasha Tynes, who said race wasn't a factor when she tried to Twitter-shame a Black transit worker in D.C., has filed a lawsuit complaining that she was the real victim of "racial torment."

Transit officials in Washington, D.C., confirmed that one of its employees was not violating any of its rules when she was photographed eating on board a train.
