The Tallahatchie County Courthouse, where Roy Bryant and J.W. Milam were tried and acquitted in Emmett Till’s death in 1955, is being converted into a museum.

Money has been raised to replace a memorial sign that marks the place where 14-year-old Emmett Till's mutilated body was discovered in the Tallahatchie River in 1955.
