Voting rights advocates were dealt two huge victories when courts rejected blatant attempts at suppressing votes of mostly people of color.
The high court agreed with a three-judge panel of the United States Court of Appeals, which ruled that the law’s photo ID requirement and reduction in early voting was discriminatory to Black voters.
