The makers of Summer’s Eve have taken their business elsewhere with the VH1 reality show “Basketball Wives” (BBW) and the upcoming spinoff show for Evelyn Lozada (pictured far left) and fiance Chad OchocincoA massive petition that was started against the violent antics of Lozada is the reason for the advertising about-face, according to S2S Magazine.

Reportedly, representatives from the feminine hygiene company contacted the person who began the petition, Alexis M., on the website Change.org:

Just received a phone call from Summer’s Eve. They have decided to PULL ALL THEIR ADS from ‘Basketball Wives’ and upcoming ‘Eve And OCHO’!!!! YAY!

One other company has decided to pulled their ads from ‘Basketball Wives’ & ‘EVE And OCHO’ but they ask me not to announce it yet. I will name that company next week.”

Thus far there are more than 25,000 signatures boycotting “BBW” because of the bullying and violence that appears on the show.  Viewers have become intolerant of the fist-fighting, cattiness, and disrespect that the women have displayed, with Lozada becoming the poster child for all that is negative on “BBW.”  Lozada, who reportedly has anger-management issues and appears to have weaved bullying and hitting into the fabric of her being, is getting a VH1 spinoff with her NFL baller Ochocinco.  Signers of the petition on the Change.org site are demanding that the cable station not reward Lozada with a her own show:

Evelyn Lozada is a bully. The violence on ‘Basketball Wives’ is horrible and disgraceful. Physical assaults, threats, verbal abuse, and harassment. VH1 is rewarding this behavior by giving Evelyn a spinoff. Don’t reward negative behavior.  This is not a hate petition against Evelyn Lozada. We simply will not support violence. It hurts to see violence amongst women on television for entertainment purposes. It is not ok for women to hit each other on TV.  Please visit Petition Updates for the latest news and updates. Thank you to everyone for making your points without the use of profanity. We’re all about positive change.”

So far, ratings have fallen from 2 million viewers a few weeks ago to 1.75 million last week, a 12.5 percent drop.

But here’s the kicker: the show’s executive producer Shaunie O’Neal (pictured fourth from left) has a “BBW”-inspired film in the works.
