Tyler Perry has never been one to hide his religious convictions underneath his sleeves, so no one was really surprised when he caught the Spirit as he stood before T.D. Jakes‘ congregation at Potter’s House in Dallas, Texas this past Sunday.

Evoking the cadence of a Baptist preacher, Perry began his testimony discussing the power of favor. He then went on to share how he was unaware of a youth center project Jake’s church was spearheading.

“I didn’t even know that he was trying to build this youth center, but I know how important the youth are,” Perry said. “So we were sitting in the service and I leaned up toward (Jakes) and I said, ‘I’ve just been touched to give $1 million.'”

The church erupted in joy as Perry went on taking about the voice of Jesus. After several minutes of testifying, he then walked over to Jakes and put his hand on his forehead.

“God bless you, Bishop,” Perry said. “I pray right now that you will continue everything you’re doing. I pray his anointing will stay upon you. I pray the power of God Almighty will come over you. I pray his favor, I pray the blood of Jesus will come upon you right now.”

It was a spectacular display of faith. Please take a look for yourself below.
