Detroit — Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin, who is recovering from surgery related to her pancreatic cancer diagnosis, is the latest celebrity to become the target of a death hoax.
On the heels of R&B singer Teena Marie’s sudden death, reports began circulating online Monday that Franklin had passed away. According to a source close to the singer, Franklin is alive and still recuperating from surgery.
