There is no such thing as a “safe neighborhood” or a safe place. No matter where you are or what you are doing you can fall victim to a crime, there is no such thing to me as being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Where is a right place? This world is just inexplicable, people react without thinking and mostly with no context! Why would you have to kill someone just because you want their car? Nine times out of ten, if a person is being carjacked and sees a gun in their face, no questions asked they will give it up without thinking! My GOD please help us all! All we can do is pray. How can we come together and crack down on crime in a neighborhood or city when most of the incidents are isolated? It would be literally impossible to stop every crime. No matter how many cops are added to the force, no matter how many crime watch programs are set up in a neighborhood. It’s just so sad. My condolences go out to this couples family, we should all keep the families in our prayer. This is a battle only GOD can fight. Father help us all!!

This sounds like more of a hit, but that’s not for me to determine. When we shelter and pamper the ones in our community that make life hard for us, we deserve it. There is’nt any march or protest that will make these people “see the light” and stop. They may be arrested, they’ll make bail and be back doing the same thing. Eventually, when one serves his sentence, he’ll be back…doing the same thing. Some may tolerate what they do either because they are profiting from it, or it “does’nt affect them personally”. Well it does affect you personally, when your child is caught in something because he chose “the wrong way” to walk while coming back from the store. Or when your child is hurt because he refused to “get down” with the neighborhood set. The police can do but so much. Eventually, if these sc** have’nt done too much, the police will have to let them go home…and it’s back to business as usual. We, the good people cannot rely on the police, or our slick talkin’ elected officials to deal with this for us. In fact, the supreme court says they don’t have to deal with it. It’s up to us. We have to deal with these people the only way they understand…but be more organized, more skilled. We must put them out of their and our misery. Put out kids in the basement, then go and wipe them out!

I live in Jersey City, I do not konw the victims directly, however i do konw people who konw them. Jersey City in whole is not a bad place…much like any other city it has it’s parts. This beautiful couple just happened to live in the worst of the worst…..Randolph whihc is in the middle of the drug infested and poverty stricken “Hill” section of JC. This is said but like many have commented this isn’t surprising. What makes it worse is the Hill is a small section of JC yet there is a shooting almost daily. I pray for the family of the victims and i pray even more that Jersey City decides to stop putting money into the waterfront and put money into the part that needs the most help….

kain1984: NJ is is the unfortunate position of being in between two major cities and each half of the state within their metro regions. Philly, and it’s wannabe NYC and non-stop crime, and of course NYC with over 8 million people. When it is like that, crime is going to happen.

Now here in CT, we are in the NYC area and I guess boarding up in the New England areas, so the crime here is low. We are about peace and love. As with all wealthy states (NJ is one of them), the wealth comes from keeping people poor. This results in cities that are broke. Add to that immigrants (legal and illegal) who use resources, drug addicts who rob, steal and use disability benefits and negro males who’s only goal in life is to be an athlete, rapper or drug dealer – you know, easy money without working for it, then you have crime! I guess organized crime is a lot better then disorganized crime. Gangs ARE NOT organized crime, they are cooperative crime. Meaning, they can work together, but if someone is going to go to jail, they are selling out the crew!
