Although R&B diva Gladys Knight (pictured) got eliminated from the ABC-TV mega hit dance competition “Dancing With the Stars” (DWTS) on Tuesday night, she received a parting gift that should keep a smile on her face and put a stride in her walk, a 60-pound weight loss, according to People.com.

The 67-year-old Motown legend put her best foot forward for an amazing six weeks and was ironically eliminated during Motown week, which featured a live performance by Mr. Smooth himself, the legendary Smokey Robinson.

The now-svelte performer actually began eating healthy before she signed onto “DWTS” by sticking to the Freshology’s Getslim, where she munched on power bars, fresh fruit, and drank protein drinks before rehearsals.  The extremely rigorous dancing routines with partner Tristan MacManus, coupled with a healthy eating plan, helped Knight to achieve the 60-pound weight loss.

“[Tristan] helped [by] wearing me out,” she told reporters backstage after the elimination.  “You’ve got to eat healthy and you’ve got to put a little movement into it,” Knight said.
