After a riveting five seasons on the BET hit dramedy “The Game,” actress Tia Mowry is calling it quits.  The performer broke the news via her Twitter account on Tuesday.

“Just wanted to let all my fans know that I will not be returning to The Game for season 6. It was an incredible run and I had lots of fun.

After making her surprise announcement, Mowry ranted about the plethora of projects that she is trying to balance.

Not only does Mowry have to care for her busy 10-month-old son, Cree, but she also has a new book, “Oh Baby!” that she is promoting across the country, which talks about her journey to motherhood.

Watch Tia on ‘The Game’ here:

In addition to her roles as a wife, Mom and now author, Mowry and her sister, Tamera Mowry-Housley, will be returning to their Style network reality show “Tia & Tamera.”  The show will enter its second season as the Style network’s highest-rated series in its history, following the twins who first gained prominence on the popular ’90s comedy “Sister, Sister.”

Tia will also be starring in an ABC family movie, “Mistle-Tones,” in December, where she’ll play a vocalist who creates a singing group.

As far as any word on her “The Game” co-star screen hubby Pooch Hall and whether he’ll be making his exit from the show, no statement has been made on his behalf. Hip Hollywood, though, is reporting that Hall has been dropped from the show’s cast, though.

Since Mowry and Hall are central characters to the show, will their absence affect the program’s ratings?  Time will tell….

Sound off!
