Mitt Romney knows more about being a White guy than President Barack Obama and he wants the nation to know it. According to the Daily Telegraph, he would restore the ‘Special Relationship‘ between United States and Britain, something that has — according to his advisers — been neglected during the Obama administration.

We are part of an Anglo-Saxon heritage, and [Romney] feels that the special relationship is special,” the adviser said. “The White House didn’t fully appreciate the shared history we have.”

The Telegraph reports:

Mr Romney on Wednesday embarks on an overseas tour of Britain, Israel and Poland designed to quash claims by Mr Obama’s team that he is a “novice” in foreign affairs. It comes four years after Mr Obama’s own landmark foreign tour, which attracted thousands of supporters.

He lands in London early on Wednesday morning, in advance of meetings with David Cameron and other senior ministers on Thursday. He will also meet Ed Miliband and Tony Blair before attending two lucrative fundraisers and the opening ceremony of the Olympics.

The adviser also stated that President Obama’s “left-wing coolness” would be abandoned in favor of the warmth of previous administrations. The special relationship has taken some political hits during the last 4 years and Romney apparently hopes to capitalize off of the nostalgic and romanticized feelings that some citizens feel for our nation of origin.

‘Special Relationship’ is a term coined by Winston Churchill during a 1946 speech and is used to describe the symbiotically close political, diplomatic, cultural, economic, military, and historical relations between Britain and the United States.

If Mitt Romney knows anything, it’s about ‘Special Relationships’ with foreign countries — at least his taxes do.
