Venisha Brown (pictured), the daughter of legendary soul singer James Brown, was arrested after she allegedly stole her boss’s SUV and injured her outside of a North Augusta, Ga., bank, the Augusta Chronicle reports.
Brown reportedly stole the SUV on Sunday, and her boss, Hope Campbell, 46, told cops that she spotted Brown driving her Chevy Suburban SUV a day later. When Campbell spotted her car, she tried to gain control of the vehicle by taking the keys out of the ignition.

But Brown allegedly accelerated, dragging the woman in to and over the hood of a nearby parked vehicle. Campbell was transported to a hospital by ambulance. The extent of her injuries is unknown.
The two women worked together at St. Stephens Ministry of Augusta Inc., an organization dedicated to providing housing for persons with HIV/AIDS, where Campbell serves as the program’s executive director.
The SUV was recovered by Richmond County deputies on the street during the wee hours of Tuesday morning. About two hours after the SUV was discovered, they received a call about a heated dispute between Brown and another woman.
Brown was later charged with possession of a stolen vehicle in Richmond County. She is also wanted by North Augusta authorities on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident, and first-degree assault and battery, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
