Mo’Nique (pictured) has never been shy about celebrating her large figure.

Her autobiography title “Skinny Women Are Evil: Notes Of A Big Girl In A Small-Minded World” makes this obvious. But recently, the actress has lost 80 pounds through a rigorous exercise regimen. And she’s sharing her progress with her Twitter followers.

In a recent Hot 97 interview, the “Precious” actor said she posts her exercise images to motivate others to achieve their weight-loss goals without any shortcuts:

“I tweet every morning. Because I want women to see – especially us big women – that you don’t have to let them cut you and suck it out. You don’t have to let them staple you up. You don’t have to let them give you a pill. You don’t have to let them put a band around your organs.”

She started getting serious about her size after winning her 2010 Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. And from the looks of it, you can definitely see results. According to Mo’Nique, she’s already gone down a few dress sizes. “The weight right now, when I got on a scale two weeks ago, was 218. My goal is between 190 and 200.”

A casual look at her Twitter page reveals more about her workout routine. One Tweet, posted earlier today, reads: “Hey my loves. Just arrived in LA. Will get my sit-ups in, in about an hour. Keep pushing, so you can keep living. Love ya’ll for real.”

Another implores her followers to get sweatin’:

“Please be sure to get in your sit-ups and your steps. The more active we are, the stronger our hearts get. The better our lives become.”
