Gayle King is placing her money on Oprah. The “CBS This Morning” co-host, and more importantly Oprah’s best friend, said Wednesday morning that she would bet “yes” on Oprah buying the likely soon-to-be-for-sale Los Angeles Clippers. “If I was a betting man I’d say yes,” King said when asked about the media mogul’s chances of purchasing the team. 5 Teen Residents Duct-Tape, Beat, Rob Caretaker at Atlanta-Area Group Home

Five teens overpowered a caretaker in an Atlanta-area group home, duct-taping and beating him and stealing and driving away in his car on Saturday, the Atlanta-Journal Constitution reports. The teens wrecked the car near the group home and fled the scene. Two teens – 17-year-old Vanessa Hammons and a 15-year-old – were caught; three of the teens – 17-year-olds Kiante Williams and Shanautica Hardy, and a 16-year-old – are still at large.Read more.

77-year-old body builder Ernestine Shepherd isn’t the only one who knows that “age is just a number.” 68-year-old runner Sandy Rue is also proof of the age-old saying. Currently training to run in the National Senior Olympics in June, Rue has her heart set not just on being a national champion, but breaking a record. The Grio reportsthat she’s got ten state competition medals under her belt, and has already competed in four national competitions. This time she’s got her heart set on winning both the 5200 and 100 meter dash. Her husband Paul — and coach of eights years — shows great pride in his wife’s determination, “it’s a great honor to see where she started. Howard University Student a Victim of Police Brutality

A Howard University finance major is claiming police brutality at the hands of  DC’s Metro Transit Police. Jeremy Gordon, 27,  says he was pulled over by Metro Police Sunday evening around 5:30 p.m on Suitland Parkway near Anacostia Metro station.  After being pulled over, he says that’s when he was beaten. “They threw me to the ground, they handcuffed me — this is what I have to show for following the instructions of the law,” he said.
