A $50,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the Oct. 2 fatal shooting of Aniya Parker, 47, a transgender woman who fell prey to three men in a “robbery gone bad” in Los Angeles, reports KTLA.com.
Surveillance video from a nearby business captured Parker as she encountered the men at approximately 2:30 a.m. After a brief altercation, she tried to run away and was shot at point-blank range in the head by one of the men as she tried to cross the street.

The 47-year-old victim could be seen stumbling and eventually collapsed on the sidewalk. Minutes later, a bystander came to her aid and called for help.
The first officers on the scene and found Parker with a gunshot wound to her head.
“From what we’ve been told by witnesses, it appears … that it may be a robbery gone bad,” said LAPD police Lt. Joe Losorelli.
She was taken to L.A. County-USC Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead.
Family members who called Parker by her nickname “Ballie,” said she “a heart of gold, befriending everybody, and a good heart.”
The family has set up a GoFundMe page to offset funeral expenses, stating “Ballie’s life mattered and will forever be loved and missed.”
