“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Todd Tucker’s mom, Sharon “Miss Sharon” Tucker (pictured, with Todd ), passed away on Monday at a New York City hospital after suffering a stroke according to the Daily Mail.
Tucker, who is married to “RHOA” star Kandi Burruss was reportedly at their home in Atlanta when he received a call about his mother’s condition. After jetting to the Big Apple, Tucker reportedly arrived to find his mother unconscious. She later lapsed into a coma, and then died.
Miss Sharon was both beloved and feared on “RHOA” and the Burruss spinoff, “Kandi’s Wedding.” The petite and feisty “take no mess” lady was always at odds with her daughter-in-law’s mother, “Momma Joyce.” The two women would bicker and at one point even came close to blows. Sharon’s round-the-way, laid-back attitude always made for good television but what was always crystal clear was the deep love she held for her son Todd, whom she fiercely defended against Momma Joyce’s constant bullying.
In his grief today, Todd took to Instagram shortly after her death to post a picture of his “ride or die best friend” and to express his grief:
“Today I lost my partner, my ride or die my best friend!” the grieving son captioned the photograph. “I don’t know what to do? I’m lost! My heart hurts so much! She was a fighter, a warrior for her son! It was me and her against the world! She’s in a better place!! Mom I love you to death! Rest in peace!”
