So this happened.
Two men decided to dress up as popular figures in pop culture — one disguised as Rick James and the other as Youngblood Priest from the cult hit Super Fly — to rob a bank in Indiana.
The men entered the Advance America Bank on Saturday with guns drawn, demanding cash from the teller. One donned a wig similar to James’ iconic look, while his partner in crime took the form of the fictional drug dealer from the ’70s flick. Both men wore sunglasses, the New York Daily News reports.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department also believes the Rick James look-alike may have robbed the Indiana Members Credit Union the following day. In addition to his unforgettable wig, the man wore a brown hoodie with an orange safety vest, gloves, and dark shoes.
The robbers made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. Both men remain on the run.
