Music legend and cultural icon Prince has passed away at 57 years old.
It was reported by TMZ and later confirmed by the singer’s publicist that the music icon, most known for his ingenious music, emblematic style, and elusiveness, died at his Minnesota home studio.
In honor of Prince’s short and fruitful life, we paid homage to him by highlighting some of his most influential moments. From the iconic Purple Rain era that solidified his career as a unique and unrivaled artist, to the era he transformed into “The Artist Formerly Known As Prince,” Prince’s immaculate craftsmanship propelled him into a league of his own.
Details behind the singer’s death are still unclear, but over the weekend, it was reported that Prince was hospitalized due to flu-related complications. Since then, his publicist announced he was “at home and resting” and according to numerous reports, the “When Doves Cry” singer celebrated his hospital released by throwing a massive dance party.
