Q. Do you think Cuomo is relying in the debate on you attacking him from the left and Carl Paladino attacking him from the right and he’ll come off looking mainstream?
A. “He can rely on that all he wants. He has to answer to the people of the State of New York, not who’s attacking him. And that’s the failure of his campaign. It’s all about who’s attacking him, not who he is and where has he been. He’s been missing in action in our community and we should be missing in action for him on Nov. 2.
Q. Tell me something: If you weren’t running, who would you endorse?
A. If I weren’t running, I’d write in my name.
