California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed into law the Kenneth Ross Jr. Decertification Act of 2021, a measure that provides "a pathway for revoking the licenses of law enforcement officers who commit serious misconduct, even if it does not rise to the level of criminal charges

The second incident came just a day after filing a lawsuit against LAPD for its disproportionate response to an initial "swatting" incident last August.

Police Brutality

Fox News, aka Republican OnlyKlans, is using its subscription-based streaming service, Fox Nation, to renew the reality TV show "Cops," which was canceled after George Floyd's murder amid protests against systemic racism in policing.

Young and her attorneys maintain that the post was a part of the FOP’s propaganda war against the movement that has swept the country over the past year. 

Dubbed "cop city" by local organizers and some community members are making a last push to get the council to vote no on the proposal.

Ben Crump said he plans to file a racial profiling lawsuit against the California city of Beverly Hills and Captain Scott Dowling of the Beverly Hills Police Department over what is known as “Operation Safe Streets” and “Rodeo Drive Task Force.”

Saturday will be action-packed with multiple marches in D.C., and across the country, along with a Saturday evening virtual Jubilee celebration centering on the work of notable Black feminists.

22-year-old Tory Brown was gunned down by officers who said he had a warrant out of Clayton County for violation of probation, and that he refused to comply with police demands to exit the apartment

Former Louisiana State Trooper Jacob Brown was caught on camera beating Black man Aaron Bowman over the head with a flashlight and calling it "pain compliance" despite the fact that Bowman is heard on camera shouting, "I'm not resisting," and the video doesn't show him doing anything violent.

After several hours the department deleted the tweet without explanation. Still, the post raises questions about the department's capacity to care about Black men killed by police and other forms of violence against Black and other communities of color.
