Washington — Immigration is an issue that many Latinos across the country have criticized President Obama on for his substantial deportations in comparison to President Bush.

Obama, who held a closed door meeting with numerous politicians and civil rights leaders across the country yesterday, has tapped Rev. Al Sharpton to join him in the immigration debate.

Sharpton called the session a “very healthy beginning” and said that immigration reform is something we must do together as a country.

“Immigration reform must be a priority,” he said.
