By Dwayne Nelson — When an NBA player’s spouse speaks, people listen.

LaLa Vazquez, wife of Carmelo Anthony, says the Nuggets superstar small forward would be happy to stay in Denver despite his offseason demands of wanting to be traded.

For the last seven seasons, Anthony has been everything for the Nuggets’ franchise, averaging 24.8 points and 6.3 boards a night. Unfortunately, Melo’s squad came up dry in its only trip to the Western Conference Finals in 2009, so he’s never stepped foot into an NBA Finals game.

Like other stars around the league, Anthony’s thinking deep and realistically about winning an NBA title if he stays in Denver because of superpowers like the Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics, San Antonio Spurs and Orlando Magic.

Here are my four reasons why I believe Anthony’s wife LaLa actually shared us some insight recently, and he will in the end remain a Denver Nugget most likely the remainder of his NBA playing career.
