Darnella Frazier
The family of Leneal Frazier, a driver in Minneapolis who died after sustaining injuries from a police pursuit he wasn't involved in, has retained renowned civil rights lawyer Ben Crump as they try to seek justice for their loss.
Darnella Frazier, the teenager who filmed Derek Chauvin murder George Floyd, has revealed that Minneapolis police killed her uncle, who was an innocent driver during a high-speed chase conducted under questionable circumstances.
The Pulitzer Prize Board announced Friday Frazier would receive a special citation "for courageously recording the murder of George Floyd a video that spurred protests against police brutality around the world, highlighting the crucial role of citizens in journalists' quest for truth and justice."
Marking the one-year anniversary of Floyd's death Darnella wrote a lengthy Facebook tribute to Floyd, summarizing her thoughts on the year that changed everything and the loss of her innocence.
