Frustration is growing among GOP operatives that President Donald Trump has put such a pronounced focus on elections in solidly Red seats.

Darline Graham was appointed by Gov. Henry McMaster to succeed her deceased brother, Lindsey Graham, in the Senate despite having little experience. 

South Carolina Republicans tapped Lindsey Graham's sister, Darline Graham Nordone, to temporarily fill his Senate seat. 

The South Carolina House passed a new map eliminating the district held by Rep. James Clyburn, but the map failed twice in the state Senate.
