Black leaders showered HUD Secretary Marcia Fudge with gratitude after she announced her unexpected resignation from President Joe Biden's cabinet.

The fight for civil rights isn't just about voting, it also encompasses equality in everyday living, including the right not to be discriminated against when trying to purchase or sell a home.

HUD's Bridging the Wealth Gap initiative, which will allocate $113 million in funds to help low-income families increase their earned income and improve financial stability.
