In a page ripped from a Hollywood film about a broken criminal justice system, a judge in Marion, Alabama is under fire for ordering poor offenders to donate blood or go to jail.
The Huffington Post reports that a court filing on Monday showed that lawyers for Ferguson and civil rights attorneys, who represent poor defendants held in Ferguson's jail, have "been engaged in meaningful settlement discussions."
