The NAACP’s demand was spurred by the shooting death of Tyrin Johnson by National Guard members and the in-custody death of Darius Chappell.
The shooting happened with a DEA agent who was working with a team of agents to serve an arrest warrant at a Memphis hotel on Wednesday morning.
Tyrin Johnson, 20, was shot by the pair of Guard members while they were in pursuit of him, following a 911 call regarding shots fired in the area.
