A federal grand jury in Tampa has indicted a former Florida sheriff's deputy on charges of violating the civil rights of an unarmed Black man, who was brutally beaten after surrendering to the officers following a brief chase last year, reports Reuters.

A 41-year-old Florida mother of three was killed by her estranged husband on Thursday. Miami-Dade police say the husband approached Tania Adams and her 28-year-old male coworker at the Isles at Oasis community clubhouse and began shooting. After he killed Adams, he turned the gun on himself.

Garner's family said she placed her 11-year-old son in the basketball program to keep him off the streets. Sadly, it was the mother who became a victim of street violence.

Tracy Lawrence was arrested and charged with assault, battery, and disorderly conduct after a disagreement with her child's assistant principal turned violent.

During the brawl, school worker and basketball coach Marcus Cruz is heard saying, "let them fight."

The court argued the Kansas case in October 2015 and came to an 8 to 1 decision on Wednesday. Justice Sonia Sotomayor dissented the Supreme Court's decision, only to note the case shouldn't have been heard in the first place.
