Sherry Lanford Smith Facebook ObamasShery Lanford Smith, the chairwoman of Sumter Tea Party in South Carolina posted a joke about killing Michelle and Barack Obama earlier this month.

Lanford Smith reportedly joked about throwing the couple out of a helicopter, then quickly removed it a few moments later.

Her Facebook status read, “I could throw both of them out of the window and make 256 million people very happy!” Smith added: “If you’re one of 256 million, PASS IT ON.”

YourBlackWorld.com reports:

Smith claims that the joke has been circulating for a very long time, and has used the names of various political figures in the past. When asked about the joke, she simply said, “It’s just a joke…I had no idea it would be an issue.”
