Black Friday madness can strike anyone and apparently Anthony Perry is not immune!  Perry allegedly left his girlfriend’s two-year-old son alone in his parked car at 1:30 am — the day after Thanksgiving — so that he could make a mad dash into Kmart to buy a TV.  Perry was arrested and charged with child reckless endangerment, according to the Huffington Post.

Reportedly, officers had to break into the Springfield, Mass. man’s car to gain access to the little boy who had been left sleeping.  Perry went to Kmart to purchase a 51-inch television that was on sale as part of the retailer’s Black Friday specials.

Police got word of the alleged child abandonment from the store’s plaza security.  Interestingly enough, when police located Perry, he was home, along with the large-sized TV that he had purchased.  As to how the 34-year-old man-made it back to his residence with his colossal TV and sans his vehicle is still being investigated.

When officers questioned Perry, he told them, that he had taken the child with him into the store but the boy somehow got lost.  Yet, according to police, there were no missing child reports filed for the toddler.

After police were able to remove the child from Perry’s SUV, they took the boy to a nearby hospital to have him thoroughly checked out.

The boy’s unidentified mother, who had been at work, told authorities that Perry was supposed to have been babysitting her son.

Law enforcement brought in the Department of Children and Families to further investigate the case involving the toddler and they will decide what happens to the child.
