One student who was dropped off Tuesday stopped at a large makeshift memorial at the high school made of paper angels on sticks, green and white balloons, stuffed animals, and American flags. One cardboard sign reads, “Our hearts and prayers are with you” and “little angels up in heaven.”

A lone police officer is directing traffic into the school, and several patrol cars are stationed at the school’s front entrance.
