UPDATE 5:46 EST:

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said that President Obama had no contact with Jay-Z over his trip to Cuba and nothing to do with the making of the track. It’s pretty funny how Carney deal with the question. Click here to read more and watch the exchange at the White House press conference. —————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

It doesn’t seem like Jay-Z is sweating the recent trip he and his wife, Beyonce, made to Cuba nearly as bad as some are on Capital Hill.

In fact, Young Hov responded the best way he knew how: By dropping a dope track dissing the establishment.

In “Open Letter,” Jay-Z hits back at them saying, “Politicians never did s**t for me … except lie to me, distort history.”

He went on to say, “Obama said chill ‘You gonna get me impeached’ … We don’t need this s**t anyway chill with me on the beach.'”

Given his close relationship with President Obama, it’s implied here that Obama did something wrong by OKing Jay-Z and Beyonce’s Cuba trip. Obama has said nothing about the fiasco and likely will stay mute.

Listen to the song below:

As NewsOne previously reported, the power couple celebrated their fifth anniversary in Cuba and the funk hit the fan soon after. Florida Republican representatives Ileana Ros-Lehtinen of the 27th Congressional District and Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart of the 25th Congressional District, are calling on the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control to request information on the type of license that Jay-Z and Beyoncé received to travel to the communist nation.

But TMZ reports that the trip was OK’d by the U.S. Treasury as a “cultural trip.”

Thing is, one has to wonder why the U.S. is getting its panties up in a bunch over Cuba when China, the biggest communist nation in the world, just hosted the Olympics?
