Action movies bad*ss Wesley Snipes (pictured), whose film absence has been quite noticeable over the last few years as he recently ended a nearly three-year stint in prison, is now out and back! According to the New York Daily News, Snipes will reprise his 1998 starring role in the “Blade” series of films that generated two sequels, a trilogy, and now reportedly a fourth one will be in the works starring the actor.

Snipes, who was convicted for failing to file federal income tax returns, temporarily kissed his screen career goodbye back in December 2010 when he entered the McKean Federal Correctional Institution in Pennsylvania.  The 52-year-old actor was then released on April 2nd of last year.

During an interview with MTV, Snipes spoke about how he wanted to once again dig his teeth in to the “Blade” role, where he played a human with vampire genes known as a “Dhampir.” The “Blade” films, which still have a major cult following today, reportedly were box office successes grossing some $130 million.

Therefore, getting back in to the Superhero game would not be off Snipes’ radar as he tells MTV, “I’d love to get back in the suit again and do some things I’ve learned how to do now that I didn’t know how to do then. I think we’re better at making that kind of a film now. Some of the things we did in the early parts of the franchise were experimental and now they’ve become customary in a lot of the ‘Avengers’ films and other comic book adaptations.”

Reportedly, Snipes could stand to make a cool $3 million for “Blade 4” and also receive a cut of the profits.
